By Living and working in the communities, volunteer are more effective in achieving the programme aims. In each of the high schools where the volunteers work, they reach out to students and communities from at least 10-15 surrounding villages.

Volunteers hold awareness raising festivals and activities to reach the wider community. Sports, music and drama events are well attended by parents and friends from these communities. Interactive activities ensure that students interact with their communities after school to collect information about their environment and resources at home and to ensure that parents and friends of the students are also receiving these important messages in a lively and memorable way.
