Need: SPW considers health in its broadest terms - as an index to a person's well being. The rapid rise in communicable illnesses amongst school aged youth, the increasing poverty and the lack of broad education are all factors affecting young people's health in rural Vellore District.

Aim: To provide young people with the information needed for better health practices that will enable them to make responsible decisions concerning their own lives and those of others.

Key methods: Through interactive and inclusive educational methods such as music, drama and sport, the volunteers provide the following:
